The former teacher in me loves helping business owners think strategically about video from the very beginning, with the goal that when you’re ready to start you’re doing it in a way that will get the results you want. Workshop Topics:

You know (or think) you should be using video in your marketing strategy, but you’re not sure how or where to start. This workshop is all about introducing you to a variety of ways video marketing can help your business grow, providing examples of each, and helping you leave with a clear picture of which is for you and how to start. 

Getting Started with Video Marketing

Effective storytelling is at the core of effective marketing, but we all have LOTS of stories we could tell. In this workshop we talk about three different formats you can use to tell your story via video, as well as give you the time, space and prompts to think about your own business stories. Last, we'll discuss which stories are best told through which platforms and when to do-it-yourself vs. calling a pro. 

Telling a Business Story Through Video

In this workshop participants will learn about the primary goals of any content marketing strategy including: putting content out in the world that is helpful to others, keeping your brand/product top of mind for your ideal clients, establishing credibility and positioning yourself as an expert in your field, and building authentic connections with your followers and potential clients. We’ll also give you the time and space to start thinking about your own content marketing strategy and the best formats for the content you want to create.

Video CONTENT Marketing

Not all video content needs to be done by a pro, and in this workshop we dive into DIY video creation. We’ll cover the basics of lighting, audio and staging, as well as an intro to some very basic editing. 

DIY Video: Shooting and Editing

Underneath every effective video marketing strategy (and really every marketing strategy) is a deep understanding of your brand identity and your ideal clients. Who are you as a company, and who are you trying to reach? Yet we often spend way more time thinking about our products and process than we do about our point of view. In this workshop we cover what your brand identity is, why knowing your ideal client matters, and most importantly give you the time, prompts and community to help you leave with a deeper understanding of who your business is.
